General Terms and Conditions

This English text is a courtesy translation. The binding version of these General Terms and Conditions is the Slovak one, published at Všeobecné obchodné podmienky. Should the two differ in any respect, the Slovak wording prevails.

I. Basic provisions

1.1 These general terms and conditions (hereinafter the “GTC”) apply to accommodation as well as to all services provided by the operator of the guest house. The operator of the guest house is the company PREDNÁ HORA s.r.o.

1.2 Clients are advised to acquaint themselves with the GTC before making a reservation. The operator reserves the right to amend these conditions unilaterally, and they are effective from the moment they are published on the website. If a client does not agree with some of the provisions of these GTC, the operator of the guest house asks that they do not use the operator’s services. By confirming a reservation the client expresses unreserved agreement.

1.3 Individual and special business cases do not form part of these published GTC.

II. Selecting and reserving services

2.1 The operator provides services to the extent offered in real time in the reservation system.

2.2 The rooms and capacities displayed are available and are adjusted in real time by the operator. Where a system is duplicated, a situation may arise in which the reserved accommodation is not available. The operator will offer a substitute in rooms of a similar standard. If the customer does not agree with the substitute offered, they are entitled to a 100 % refund of the deposit paid.

2.3 During the stay the customer is entitled only to the services they duly marked in the reservation system. All stay packages, and accommodation with breakfast, are tied solely to the fixed beds of the operator’s rooms and apartments. Where accommodation is on an extra bed, half board (breakfast and dinner) must be added to the reservation; otherwise charges for what is consumed will be posted to the hotel account.

2.4 When reserving additional services the customer is entitled only to the provision of the number of services they duly reserved. The customer may extend the reserved services at any time.

III. Payment terms

3.1 The price and the agreed services are stated in the confirmation of the reservation. Without a confirmation, the prices stated at reception apply. The customer is obliged to pay the applicable, or agreed, prices for the room made over to them and for the further services they use. Where payment by bank transfer to the account is chosen, confirmation of a binding reservation of services is conditional upon payment of a deposit amounting to 100 % of the price of the services ordered.

3.3 Should the deposit for an ordered service not be paid by the due date, the guest house has the right to cancel the reservation.

3.4 All charges for payment are borne by the customer.

3.5 The service provider has the right to change published prices, which take effect at the moment they are published on the website.

IV. Withdrawal, cancellation of an order, cancellation by the customer

4.1 Withdrawal from the contract and cancellation of a reservation of services must always be made as soon as possible, stating the reason, in writing or by telephone. Subsequent written confirmation is required, with the following details: first name, surname, address, dates of the stay, e-mail, IBAN account number and proof of ownership. 4.2 Cancellation fees when a reservation is cancelled:

30 – 20 days before arrival, 25 % of the deposit paid.
20 – 10 days, 50 % of the deposit paid.
10 days or fewer, 100 % of the deposit paid.

4.3 Regardless of the method of payment, a refund is always made by bank transfer from the service provider’s account. The total amount refunded for services in euro will be reduced by all costs connected with the customer’s original payment.

V. Other

5.1 Animals may be brought only with prior consent and against a surcharge. Animals must not be brought into the dining rooms. Found items are handed over only on request.

VI. Final provisions

6.1 These GTC, and the legal relationships arising on their basis, are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic.

6.2 Should individual provisions of these GTC be, or become, ineffective or invalid, the effectiveness of the remaining provisions is not affected.

6.3 On confirming a reservation the client agrees to the GTC and undertakes to observe them. The operator reserves the right to change the GTC. The obligation to give written notice of a change to the GTC is fulfilled by placing the amended GTC on the operator’s website www.prednahora.sk.

6.4 These GTC take effect on the day they are published on the guest house’s website.
